February News

We are almost to February break and there is lots of exciting news at Oceanside West.  Congratulations to our MathCounts Math Team for finishing 3rd place at the regional meet.  Our team will be heading to the state meet in March.
Our student council has come up with an idea to develop a peer tutoring program.  Students will sign up and be paired with students who need extra help.  I want to commend our student council for this idea.  This is the kind of student initiative that will shape Oceanside West into the kind of school we can all be proud of as we develop our traditions.  The student council is also looking into the possibility of starting a school garden in the spring.
We will be having our school community meeting at the end of the day on Friday, Feb. 17th to celebrate student achievement.
